PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Qualifications 
Required/Minimum Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python  OR equivalent experience.

·         4+ years of software development experience

·         4+ years experience working on Azure or similar cloud platforms.

·         4+ years of AI – Machine Learning, Search, Cognitive Services; Some exposure to Open AI.

·         4+ years experience with code repositories including but not limited: GitHub, Azure DevOps; as well as understanding of branching and tagging strategies; understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience

·         Experience with Azure Data and AI services.

·         Experience with AI open-source ecosystem.

·         Experience with Cognitive Services (including Speech, Vision, Translation etc.) Azure Cognitive Search, and Azure Open AI or equivalent complete experience.

·         Experience with large language model (LLM) and Foundational models toolsets.

·         Experience with Prompt Engineering, LLM fine turning, and chaining technology (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel).

·         Experience with implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.

·         Experience with ETL, Data Modeling, and Data Engineering is a plus.

·         Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale and shares knowledge with other engineers.

·         Effective communication skills and a passion for delivering scalable solutions through a diverse team of engineers.
